Egg Donor Program
Many patients need eggs from young donors in order to make their dreams come true. There are a variety of reasons a women may need donor eggs.
Sometimes a woman is unable to become pregnant because she can’t produce healthy eggs or run low on supply. Patients that are over the age of 42 and have low AMH levels may consider this option. Some patients lose eggs from multiple surgical procedures that remove ovarian tissue. Endometriosis is another condition that can prematurely cause egg lose due to chronic inflammation that happens every month . Egg donation allows couples to use younger eggs, whereby experiencing the joy of conceiving a child.
The best candidates for egg donation are healthy women aged 18-32. Donors undergo thorough screening for infectious disease, drug screening, hormone levels and genetic abnormalities. They are also subject to psychological screening for mental disease.
Donors and recipients remain anonymous. Recipients will be able to select from a variety of donors based on a number of qualities including physical appearance, ethnicity, and education level.
If selected, the donor will undergo menstrual synchronization with the recipient. Genetic testing can be done to eliminate chromosomal anomalies in the embryos prior to transferring the embryo in the recipient.
